It looks like the launch of the 2024 Mahindra XUV300 facelift is just around the corner. An image of the test mule spotted on the outskirts of Chennai has shown that the upcoming model looks production-ready, hinting at an imminent launch. This will be the first major update for Mahindra’s sub-4 metre SUV, which went on sale on our shores in 2019.
The XUV300 will get a significantly overhauled front, sporting a new grille and updated LED headlights that take inspiration from the XUV700. You also get a tweaked front bumper to compliment the revised look. In profile, there are a new set of alloys, while the rear-end features new connected LED tail lamps. The number plate housing now takes position in the bumper.
Inside, the 2024 XUV300 facelift’s dashboard layout and design will be identical to the one seen on the new XUV400 EL variants. It will get a floating infotainment system, a revised centre console and plenty of new feature additions.
Expected new kit in the 2024 XUV300 include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, Type-C USB charging ports and a wireless phone charger. Chances are there Mahindra could also equip it with partial ADAS features, considering competition like the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue gets it.

There should be no changes made underneath the hood of the XUV300 facelift. Currently, you get to choose from either a 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, 130PS 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol or a 117PS 1.5-litre diesel option. A 6-speed manual is standard, while the base turbo-petrol and diesel engine can be had with an optional 6-speed AMT.

In terms of pricing, one can expect the XUV300 facelift to command a notable premium over the outgoing model, which is priced from Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
